Atlanta, GA: Variety Playhouse

GG King opened up, they brought their brand of Atlanta punk to the crowd of over 900 that came to see Ty. They sounded really good. Kudos to the new improved VP sound system.

Ty Segall - for this tour Ty was back to performing on lead & rhythm guitar duties.  Charles Moothart on drums. Mikal Cronin on bass as well as Saxophone for a couple of numbers. Set opened with “Wave Goodbye” usually a typical set closer that sent everyone into frenzy (for us up front anyway). Several Songs from Latest album "Freedom's Goblin" and a surprise for me a few songs from "Emotional Mugger"...  Hot Chocolate's "Every 1's A Winner" was given a great workout.  Surprise Cover of note Groundhog's "Cherry Red"

A fun crowd with lots of half-assed moshing. Which felt more like people jockeying to the front to crowd surf. “Feel” was stretched out until it segued into a vamp of Grateful Dead’s Fire On The Mountain/Franklin's Tower. Great show!
